The fact that I haven't posted in a couple days I'll blame on the fact that I can't find the battery charger for my camera and my small wii addiction ;)

I did make a really good soup the other night....no picture or exact measurements(oops), but this is what was in it:

1 can black beans
1/2 bag frozen brussel sprouts
tons of crushed red pepper
couple handfuls of spinach
nutritional yeast
few garlic cloves
olive oil
balsalmic vinegar
enough vegetable broth to make it soupy

Cooked it all for a while, threw it in the blender, simmered it on low for a while more...

YUM!

First game of the season tonight for the Caps!
Last season's SE Division champs play Atlanta @ 7:30.

Copious amounts of alcohol & junk food will be consumed....
So, in order to balance things out...

Steamed broccoli
w/ balsamic, olive oil, crushed red pepper, parma, salt & peppa

So I've seen a lot of people blog about the So Delicious coconut milk yogurts but the other night at the store I saw something I'd never heard of. So Delicious coconut milk ice cream sandwiches! I tried them last night.... and they're kinda like Tofutti cuties but I think the texture was much better, not as melty. And of course i'm a huge coconut fan, so that might have had something to do with it. So delish! Has anyone else tried these?

And because I was craving sweet all day yesterday... partially frozen dark sweet cherries topped w/ dark chocolate slivers. Mmmm!

Ugh...i hate mondays.
This weekend was really good but as usual, not long enough.
Some of this weekends highlights:

Friday night before the hockey game, we found Strongbow on tap!
Caps beat Philly 5-1!
Needless to say the next day we were nursin lil' hangovers.

I tried some Kombucha for the first time.
Well, it was interesting, in a good way(i think).
Anyone else tried it?

We checked out the Arboretum,
but I was more interested in the spiders than the plants.

Yum! We got lunch and picked up some freshly baked cookies.
No pics, I was lucky to even remember my wallet. ;)
Ordered the drumsticks and "tuna" & fruit wrap. So so so so good!

Sunday was lazy, as it should be!
Napped and watched football with the doggies. My NY Giants won again!

Lotus Vegetarian

Seriously, how can something so cute produce the most wretched smells to ever grace a nostril?! I think it might be a beagle thing because the other beagle gets bad gas too but the spaniel rarely does. Anyone else have this issue with their canine companions? Do they make doggie beano?
